Invite User

How to invite a broker or insured user to Certificate Hero

Another way to set up an account in Certificate Hero is for an Administrator to invite another user. This method allows the Administrator to choose who to invite to the platform and set their permissions before the user ever logs-in.


Unlike with the sign-up method, the Invite User method allows the new user to log-in immediately upon receiving their invite.


To invite a new user, the permission USER MANAGEMENT: CREATE must be enabled. A user with this permission will see the INVITE USER button available to them from the User Management page.


User Management


Selecting INVITE USER will prompt the following modal:

You must enter the following information:

  1. Email: the email address of the invitee
  2. Select User Type: Insured or Broker
  3. Division: If your brokerage is split out by office or division, select the division this user has access to [only for broker users]
  4. Allowed insured(s) accounts the user is able to access [only for insured users]
  5. Current Insured: Enter the insured account the user should default to
  6. Group: Select the Permission Group the user has access to

The Group a user is associated with determines the permissions they have when using the site. Please see GROUP PERMISSIONS for more information.


Once the invite is sent, the invited user will receive an email containing their invitation. They will be prompted to go to the Certificate Hero website, enter their email address and the password provided in the email. Upon first log-in, the user will be prompted to change their password, and then they will have access to use Certificate Hero with the permissions given to them.
