User defaults allow you to personalize your Certificate Hero account by pre-selecting commonly used options such as Producer, Contact, and Signature.
These defaults automatically populate in the certificate editor, saving you time and ensuring consistency across your work.
Follow the steps below to set up and manage your user account defaults.
Accessing Your User Profile
-
From the navigation bar, click on your Profile Icon and select User Settings.
-
This will bring you to the Edit User screen.
On this page, you can update your name, reset your password, and configure your user defaults.
Editing User Defaults
The Edit User Defaults section contains dropdown menus for three key fields:
-
Producer
– Select your default producer. This will auto-fill into new certificates unless manually changed. -
Contact
– Choose your default contact information. This helps ensure certificates reflect the correct department or individual. -
Signature
– Add or confirm your default signature. This will appear in the signature field on generated certificates.
Setting a Default Value
-
Click into the dropdown for Producer, Contact, or Signature.
-
Select the appropriate option from the list.
-
When you are ready, click the blue Update Defaults button.
Your selections will now be saved and automatically applied whenever you create or edit a certificate.
Managing Your Defaults
Once your defaults are saved, you have several options under each field:
-
Edit – Change your current default selection.
-
Clear (X) – Remove a default if you do not want one pre-applied.
-
Update Defaults – Save any changes you’ve made.
Example
In the screenshot above, the user has set:
-
Producer: Certificate Hero (Default)
-
Contact: Customer Success Department (Default)
-
Signature: Adilyne Santiago
These defaults will automatically display on all newly created certificates, reducing repetitive data entry.
By setting up your User Account Defaults, you ensure your certificates are issued quickly, consistently, and with the correct producer, contact, and signature details every time.
